We want to thank ALL medical workers for their hard work, dedication, and the sacrifices that they’re making to help keep us all safe. This week, AHFCU had the honor of thanking a few of them in person with some donuts and other goodies. Although we were only able to personally thank a handful of workers at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center, we hope that ALL medical workers from ALL medical centers know how much we appreciate them!

If you are receiving a COVID-19 Economic Impact Payment you may be receiving it as early as this week.

If you’re receiving a Direct Deposit

Members who signed up with the IRS to have direct deposit should receive their COVID-19 Economic Impact Payment via ACH into the account that the IRS has on file. The U.S. Treasury Department is sending the first batch of electronic payments this week. You can check the status of your electronic payment by viewing your account in NetTeller (Online Banking).

If you’re receiving a Live Check
If you are eligible for an Economic Impact Payment and have not signed up with the IRS to have your payment directly deposited into your account, you will be receiving a physical check mailed to the address that the IRS has on file. Live checks will be sent in batches after all the ACH checks have been sent. If you have changed addresses since filing your last tax return, click here  to update your information to avoid delay of receiving your payment.

Once you receive your check, you can deposit it into your AHFCU account through our Mobile App (available at the App Store and Google Play). You can also deposit it at an AHFCU or CO-OP Network ATM. Click here for an ATM locator.

The IRS issues warning about schemes related to Economic Impact Payments.

The  Internal Revenue Service urges tax payers to be  on the lookout for calls and email phishing attempts  related to the coronavirus and ecumenic impact payments. Please click here for more information. Note: Neither the IRS or AHFCU will ever send unsolicited emails, text messages or social media attempts to gather information.
